Maria studied Psychology in Bogota, Colombia before moving to London to study English while working as a cleaner, waitress and nanny.

Maria then applied for work experience placement in a recruitment company where she stayed for two years before moving to another recruitment company for nurses; travelling across Europe to recruit nurses from universities and hospitals. She has always been passionate about people’s development and helping people to be the best they can be.

Then, in 2013, Maria wanted something different from recruitment and moved to NHS Property Services as HR coordinator. Since joining, she has taken on numerous roles within the HR and the Learning and Development team.

In her current role, Maria works on different projects such as apprenticeships, mentoring, career development, performance management and colleague engagement.
