Apprenticeships go beyond frontline roles, and our opportunities across Corporate and Operations include customer services, learning and development, health and safety, and communications.
At NHS Property Services we are working to improve healthcare environments, deliver best value for the NHS, and enable excellent patient care. To do this we have a number of teams working to support our customer facing colleagues, including Asset Management, Finance, Customer Services, Marketing and Communications, Technology Services and the People Team. We also have a number of FM support teams such as Health & Safety, Procurement, Technical Services, FM Strategy, Energy and Environment and Operations Helpdesk.
We will be offering apprenticeships across our Corporate and Operations teams during 2022. Some examples of the pathways we currently offer include:
Level 3 Customer Service Specialist
Level 3 Learning and Development Practitioner

Level 4 Public Relations and Communications Assistant

Here's what Logie, External Communications Executive at NHSPS, had to say about his apprenticeship
"Coming from a family of NHS workers, from carers to electricians working on hospital sites I’m happy to have a chance to contribute to building the NHS and supporting its diverse estate.
At NHSPS, they give a lot of time to colleagues who want to develop expertise in areas they are really interested in, whether its earning a new qualification or learning a new skill from a team member, your mentor will encourage you to set goals that matter to you and really go about helping you to achieve them.
For anyone considering applying, I would say there are 3 main things you need to focus on; 1, research the company as whole and not just your specific department as this provide context and a great understanding or the role you play in the organisation. 2, Focus on why the role you are applying for will help your career development and have a good think about the ‘where you see yourself in 5 years’ question that will inevitably be asked. 3, ask questions that show you understand the role you are applying for and demonstrate your interest and enthusiasm."
