Chapelford Medical Centre moves to a new £2.7 million state-of-the-art building today as of Monday 27 January.
The new medical centre, which is based on Santa Rosa Boulevard in the heart of Chapelford, will provide high-quality facilities for patients and staff. The centre features eight multi-purpose treatment rooms, a spacious and comfortable waiting room, improved car parking and onsite pharmacy with a private consultation room. It also has a dedicated room for breastfeeding and baby changing, in addition to an accessible adult change facility for people with disabilities.
Dr Dan Bunstone, Lead GP at Chapelford Medical Centre said: “We are pleased to announce the opening of our new medical centre on Monday and we are confident that our new building will offer a better experience for both patients and staff. Our new, modern premises will allow us to welcome more patients at the practice and enable us to extend the range of treatments. We will also be able to increase the training we can provide to our staff thus helping us improve staff recruitment and retention. We want to reassure patients that the move should not cause any disruption to our services and we will retain our existing telephone number.”
The medical centre, which features an environmentally friendly and energy efficient design, has been developed by NHS Property Services in partnership with NHS England and NHS Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group.
Dr Linda Charles-Ozuzu, North West Regional Director of Commissioning, NHS England/Improvement said “We are delighted that the people of West Warrington will have access to new state of the art primary health care facilities at Chapelford Health Centre thanks to investment by NHS England in partnership with NHS Property Services. This project has been delivered through genuine partnership working, bringing the Practice, Clinical Commissioning Group, Local Authority and local patients/residents together, we now look forward to seeing the benefits the improved facilities will have for local people.”
