They arise because of the conditions in which we are born, grow, live, work and age.
These conditions influence our opportunities for good health, as well as how we think, feel and act. And this shapes our overall health and wellbeing.

Reducing health inequalities is a key NHS priority. And as an NHS estates partner, NHSPS is committed to creating better health outcomes for communities through our Healthy Places programme.
This case study highlights eight projects we’ve delivered in areas of high deprivation in the North, South, Midlands and London as part of our programme. All resulting in improved healthcare facilities that are accessible, modern and fit for purpose. And, following Lord Darzi’s recent report on NHS performance, they support the governments three big shifts that need to happen to create a modern health service that will meet the needs of our changing population:
We partnered with Warrington and Halton Teach Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to deliver a £3m multi-use healthcare hub, improving community engagement for over 5,000 people.

We partnered with Sussex ICB and Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust, reconfiguring space to provide modern accommodation and services for children and their families.
We partnered with North Central London ICB to reconfigure and refurbish space at this property. The £0.9m build increased capacity and improved facilities for 16,000 patients.
We partnered with HIOW ICB and local health trusts - developing a vision for how the Mary Seacole wing on the RSH campus could better be used and improved to support the ICB clinical strategy.
