NHSPS is thrilled to announce a partnership with MSI Reproductive Choices by agreeing to two 10-year leases at both Woodfarm Health Centre, and Chess Medical Centre. The previously vacant sites, retained by NHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (ICB), with Woodfarm being unoccupied for nearly two years.
Following a competitive bidding process, MSI Reproductive Choices has been commissioned by the ICB to deliver essential reproductive services to Oxfordshire. The organisation opened its first clinic in central London in 1976 and has grown into one of the world's largest providers of contraception and safe abortion services.
MSI Reproductive Choices is investing approximately over half a million pounds to refurbish Woodfarm Health Centre, with NHSPS also being involved in delivering some of the improvements. These include implementing net carbon zero sustainability measures by installing new roof solar panels. The solar PV System delivered by NHSPS was designed to optimize the buildings estimated energy consumption, with estimated yearly savings of 6,160 kWph, using a parameter of 1.83kW per year - equivalent to charging a smartphone once a day 3366 times or the same impact of planting 55 trees per year.
Plus, given MSI wider requirements in the region, the organisation has also agreed to acquire space at the previously vacant first floor of Chess Medical Centre. MSI will be running a service from 3 clinical rooms, alongside reactivating a reception area and waiting room.
