Watch a recording of our webinar from the 1st October 2020, in partnership with the Department of Health and Social Care. We discuss the next phase of work to align Commissioning with the NHS estate, and how our newly agreed set of occupancy documents have been collaboratively designed to benefit the wider NHS.
Developing the work NHS Property Services (NHSPS) have been doing to agree occupancies, and following on from the letter sent by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS England & Improvement in February – we now have a set of standard occupancy documents for NHSPS customers. These are agreed with NHS England & Improvement, and are designed to be flexible and accommodate the needs of occupiers in terms of security of occupation and clarity on charging, as well as allowing NHSPS to properly service, maintain and manage the NHS properties in our stewardship.
We have also worked with NHSE/I to agree a Property Commissioning Pack designed to support CCGs in identifying the best NHSPS buildings to be used when Commissioning a service, with all the details needed to provide clarity to bidders on building costs and occupancy.
Ahead of launching these two key pieces of collaborative work, we hosted a webinar to learn more about the programme, its benefits to customers, the new occupancy options available, and how we will be supporting our customers in the coming months. This session was primarily aimed at Clinical Commissioning Groups and Trusts, with further sessions for other groups planned in the coming months.
