- if needed, develop a flushing schedule for water systems that are used infrequently to prevent bacteria growth and put management systems in place to control the risks
- take action if bacteria are found in your water systems and develop plans to ensure patient safety whilst your water systems are disinfected
- establish good practices of local water usage, distribution, supply and controls
- stay compliant with statutory regulations
